For best results clean your new piercing twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night with your Punktured Aftercare Saline/Punktured Foaming Wash.
Do not touch, move, or play with the jewellery throughout the healing period to prevent infection or any bad bacteria getting in the open wound. There may be some discharge forming scabs, this is all completely normal so don’t pick or remove as this is your body’s natural protective layer for the healing process.
It is normal for this type of piercing to bleed/weep a small amount for the first few week's post procedure. It is important that if you have any concerns to consult with your piercer.

How to care for your new piercing
We recommend cleaning your new piercing twice a day. This promotes healthy healing and helps to remove debris that could potentially irritate or slow down healing.
Before cleaning your piercing, always ensure you have thoroughly washed your hands to reduce bacteria coming into contact with the piercing.
For standard & advanced procedures
All body piercings must be cleaned twice a day with Punktured Saline Aftercare Spray.
To do so, spray some saline onto a cotton tip and gently clean around the exit site of the piercing. Flip the cotton tip, spray saline again, and repeat on the opposite exit site of the piercing.
For genital piercings follow the above steps. Avoid all sexual activity for the initial stage of healing. Always consult with your piercer on what this would look like for you.
For dermal anchors follow the same cleaning process and ensure the piercing remains covered for the first 48-72 hours following the procedure.
For oral piercings
Directly spray our Punktured Oral Aftercare Spray onto the exit point of the piercing (inside the mouth). Repeat twice daily and after eating. Rinse with water and spit directly after.
It is also recommended to avoid using alcohol based mouthwash, smoking, vaping, eating spicy foods or raw dairy for the first 4 weeks of healing.
For oral piercings
Directly spray our Punktured Oral Aftercare Spray onto the exit point of the piercing (inside the mouth). Repeat twice daily and after eating. Rinse with water and spit directly after.
It is also recommended to avoid using alcohol based mouthwash, smoking, vaping, eating spicy foods or raw dairy for the first 4 weeks of healing.
Punktured Foaming Cleanser
Can be used on all standard and advanced piercings (excluding oral piercings) when necessary in the shower. Pump once onto the piercing to remove unwanted bacteria and thoroughly rinse.
For best results, always use at the end of your shower.

- Do not touch, twist, or pick at your piercing as this will result in irritation and possible infection.
- Do not dip your cotton tip into the saline bottle itself to avoid cross-contamination.
