Terms of Service for Body Piercing Booking
This Terms of Service (the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Thasos Pty Ltd T/A Off Ya Tree (the "Company" or "we" or "us"), regarding the use of the body piercing booking service provided by the Company. By accessing or using the Company's body piercing booking service via the Off Ya Tree website, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
Booking Policy:
Service Duration: The standard duration of a body piercing service booking is 15 minutes.
Cancellation Policy:
- All changes and cancellations should be made by calling the store directly.
- Customers are entitled to change/cancel their booking without incurring any penalties if the store is notified at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
- If cancellation is made after the scheduled appointment, the Company reserves the right to withhold the deposit amount as a cancellation fee.
- If you fail to attend your appointment on time or do not show at all your deposit amount will be forfeited. Having to do this makes us sad – please communicate with the store if something unforeseen arises so that we can best accommodate you.
- Clients are hereby informed, that the total of the non-refundable deposit for your booking will be forfeited for any missed appointments or cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time. This policy is in place to ensure the efficient operation of our business and to minimise disruptions to our scheduling.
- All refunds for bookings can only be performed on the Off Ya Tree website and can not be performed in store.
Deposit Requirement:
A deposit of $25 (Inc. GST) is required at the time of booking a body piercing service. This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the body piercing package. A $25 booking deposit is required for all bookings on Body Piercings, this is to minimise any no shows. Please read the terms of service thoroughly! The $25 deposit is the average price for a piercing service - This will not be the final price of your Body Piercing package as you will still need to purchase body jewellery when you are in store.
Confirmation of Booking:
The Company will send a confirmation email to the customer upon successful booking. It is the customers responsibility to provide accurate contact information.
Change of Booking:
If you wish to change your booking, please contact your local Off Ya Tree store directly. Changes are subject to availability and must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
Age Requirements:
Please note that some services have specific age requirements as per the regulations of each state in Australia. If the company see that you do not meet the local age requirements for the requested piercing service, the company reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time. Furthermore, if the client requires a guardian to sign their consent form, the guardian must physically attend the appointment in store to sign their consent. Before booking a service, please read through the Age Requirements page to ensure you are aware of local laws around age requirements and body piercing.
We accept photo ID such as Drivers License, Proof of Age Card, Passport or Key Pass as legal forms of ID for both parties. We can accept School ID with D.O.B and a photo.
For a parent to sign consent they must have Photo ID and a Medicare Card.
Over 18 years
Just bring government issued photo ID.
You must be over 18 to receive a genital or nipple piercing.
16 - 18 years
Standard piercings - you need photo ID.
Non-standard piercings, surface piercings and dermal anchors - a consenting parent or guardian with photo ID must come in with you.
Under 16 years
Standard piercings ONLY.
You need consent from your parent / guardian. They must come in with you and show proof of relationship to you (e.g. a Medicare card with both your and their names on it).
Under 10 years
Due to Australian Law, we cannot pierce people under the age of 10.
The definition of “body piercing” is the use of a needle to insert a ring, barbell, etc. into the body, because we use needles for all piercings this means even the humble lobe is considered a “body piercing”. The government deem that a child is not environmentally aware enough to consent to “body piercings” under the age of 10. This is the law.
WA only
Lobe piercings - you need to be over 16 with photo ID.
Other piercings - a consenting parent or guardian with photo ID must come with you.
SA only
Must be over the age of 18 to purchase tapers for stretching.
Disclaimer:
The Company reserves the right to modify or terminate any aspect of the body piercing booking service without prior notice. When making a booking, it is your responsibility to tell the service providers directly about any physical or mental condition that you have and that may require special facilities.
Limitation of Liability:
The Company shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use of or inability to use the body piercing booking service, even if the Company has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing Law:
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia.
By using the Off Ya Tree website and booking a body piercing service, you signify your acceptance of this Terms of Service. If you do not agree to this policy, please refrain from using the Company's booking services.
